Medical Assistant
Health and Hope
This program is ideal for medical students, professionals, or anyone passionate about healthcare and helping others. Our Medical Assistant program is focused on improving healthcare services in underserved communities. Volunteers work alongside local healthcare professionals in clinics, hospitals, and community health programs. Duties may include assisting with medical procedures, conducting health education workshops, and providing basic healthcare services. Time to time, we do community medical outreach with local organizations where we travel to rural villages, visit several homes and offer treatment to families or assemble at a central location where with the help of local authorities an announcement is made earlier in advance for them to gather and get treatment. This program is funded by volunteer(s) right from transportation of patients, for those who can’t afford to bring themselves to the per diem for the community health workers present for the job as well as any other arising cost.
