ABOUT US
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for volunteers from across the world to connect with needy and less privileged communities in Kenya. Located at the foothills of Ngong Hills, near Ngong town along the Great Rift Valley within Kajiado County, located in the southwest of Nairobi, in southern Kenya hence Ngong Hills Volunteers.Having been active for over seven years as an informal organization, Ngong Hills Volunteers initially mobilized local youth groups to pool resources. These efforts provided food, clothing, sanitary towels, and other necessities to primary schools, Maasai girls, orphanages, and street children. We expanded our activities to include environmental conservation through tree planting and community clean-up efforts.
In 2020, we realized the need to extend these opportunities globally, inviting volunteers from all over the world to join our journey of changing lives. We broadened our scope to include programs in sports coaching, teaching, environmental conservation, medical assistance, empowerment for women and children, animal welfare and special needs education.
Volunteers live in either the volunteer house or in homestays as their primary destination during the time of their stay and programs
